At Highlands, we’ve created a series of events to give us a better understanding of communities who have been under fire always, but particularly today. These events are intended to challenge us to consider how we each might “do the next loving thing.” On Friday, Oct 16th, we have invited Chicago-based film composer, professor, singer-songwriter, storyteller, and trans elder, Allie n Steve Mullen, to join us. Allie n Steve will present a 90-minute narrative concert that addresses the ways that the full inclusion of our trans-siblings can challenge and illuminate the unique qualities we each bring to our community, and the solidarity that can thrive in our community when we embrace our differences. The performance will be followed by a short Q&A. Drinks and light appetizers will be served 30 minutes prior to 7pm.
Registration is highly recommended but not required.
This event is sponsored by Highlands Church and free to attend.
Free childcare is available. Please tell us how many children you will have so we can plan appropriately.
