About this Event
Disconnect to Reconnect is a welcoming community wellbeing event designed to help you pause, reflect and reconnect — with yourself, others, and your relationship with technology.
Hosted by the Swiss Benevolent Society UK in collaboration with My Resilient Mind, this relaxed afternoon combines a wellbeing workshop, a guided mindfulness session, community conversation, refreshments, and an optional mindful walk to Lincoln's Inn Fields.
This event explores practical ways to develop healthier digital habits, improve focus, reduce mental fatigue, and create a more balanced relationship with the digital world. Discover how to swap screen time for downtime, become more intentional about your technology use and make space for meaningful connections and moments of calm. Whether you're looking to reduce screen time, meet new people, or simply enjoy a mindful afternoon, you'll leave with practical tools and fresh perspectives to support your wellbeing.
What to expect:
- A 45-minute Digital Wellbeing Masterclass led by Nicola MacDonald from My Resilient Mind
- A guided mindfulness session and opportunity for questions
- Tea, coffee and light refreshments
- Time for relaxed conversation and community connection
- An optional mindful walk to Lincoln's Inn Fields (weather permitting)
My Resilient Mind
This event is run in collaboration with My Resilient Mind.
My Resilient Mind helps everyday adults reclaim their time, focus, and energy by shifting from mindless scrolling to intentional, conscious technology use. We empower individuals to quiet digital noise, build mental fitness, and cultivate a grounded, present life — without disconnecting from the modern world.
Core Focus: Mindful Technology & Everyday Resilience
- From Autopilot to Intention: Breaking automatic dopamine loops and reflex phone-checking, replacing mindless scrolling with sustainable, science-backed habit design.
- Reclaiming Presence & Focus: Practical micro-mindfulness tools and 60-second nervous system resets to lower mental fatigue, cut through brain fog, and restore deep presence throughout the day.
- Strengthening Real-World Connections: Setting healthy, realistic digital boundaries that protect personal time, improve sleep quality, and foster distraction-free relationships with family and friends.
- Boosting Mental Fitness: Developing the self-awareness and emotional resilience needed to manage daily stress, anxiety, and the constant friction of an "always-on" culture.
