The Davis Cemetery District’s annual Día de los Muertos public altar was set up on Thursday, October 29th and will remain in place through November 2nd. In addition to the public ofrenda, we will offer grave cleaning supplies, and educational signage highlighting the traditions and significance of Día de los Muertos. This year will also feature a designated pathway decorated with marigolds and papel picado, encouraging visitors to stroll through the cemetery, reflect, and honor the memories of their loved ones.The cemetery is seeking a community member(s) or organization to partner with and eventually take the lead on this event, with the hope of introducing an in-person community component in 2027.
