Info: The Healthy Hair Blueprint: Preventing Breakage, Thinning and Hair Loss in Afro Hair.
This talk will explore practical, evidence-informed ways to care for Afro and Type 4 hair with a focus on maintaining moisture, strength, density and overall long-term hair and scalp health. We’ll look at how to build a healthy hair-care routine, reduce breakage, recognise early signs of thinning and hair loss, and understand how everyday styling practices can affect both the hair and scalp. The session will also cover lower-tension styling options, healthy hair habits and simple changes that can help protect and preserve your hair over time.
The session will be led by Lola Ebose, a qualified Trichologist and founder of the hair-care brand Nourished Springs, bringing together clinical knowledge of hair and scalp health with practical experience in caring for Afro and Type 4 hair.

Curly Mane Talk: From Trial and Error to Routine; the journey to finding What
Host: Curly Mane
Info: In this talk, I’ll share my personal nine-year journey with natural hair and the realities of caring for Type 4 hair as a Black woman. I’ll reflect on growing up in Nigeria, navigating the lack of accessible information and resources around Afro hair, and the challenges, mistakes and lessons that shaped how I care for my hair today. I’ll talk about the importance of first learning and understanding your own hair before building a routine around it. I’ll then share how I built and adapted my own routine, including the key products and practices I rely on, and how I balance caring for my hair with my lifestyle.
