About this Event
700 years ago, a purple streak crossed the night sky. This marked the beginning of The Darkest Night, a time of long winters and struggle. People believed the Great Spirit had fled the planet but left behind a purple stain, called the Adanadi, found on plants, animals, and people which conveys otherworldly abilities. Adapting and advancing their technology and spirituality, the people of these lands were able to endure and survive until the weather began warming these past hundred years. As a time of plenty has returned, Cahokia has become the largest city, a thriving trade hub located at the joining of the Mizizibi River and Minishoshi River. While life is now dazzling and hopeful, trouble still creeps in from the thawing ice, political conflict, spirits crossing worlds, and people lashing out in fear.
Come play in the high tech, high spirit city of Cahokia. Governed by the Council of Twelve, the most influential people are the ones who give and help others. As such, elders hold a particularly important role, sharing their experience and advice to help leaders reach decisions. In Cahokia, the Wisdoms are the group of elders that the Councils of Twelve go to for guidance. The Council has been struggling to establish connection with a fractured group of disgruntled citizens that are now on the verge of leaving the city. So when they reach out to the Wisdoms for input, it is devistating and alarming to discover they are missing. Now the Council calls upon you to help them figure out what happened, why the Wisdoms are missing, and most importantly, bring them back if able.
Character creation will occur at the start of the event with help from our Story Guides. Character sheets and dice will be available but feel free to bring d12s of your own, twelve are suggested. This story is played simultaneously at multiple tables which affect each other. The first two hours of game play will set you up with resources to use in making decisions in a midpoint break that then affects the final two hours of game play where the overarching ending is shaped by each table's outcome.
Ticket purchases include a hot soup, sandwich, and drink during the game's midpoint break. A variety of snacks, small bitess and drinks offered by the store will be available for purchase. Donations are greatly appreciated and will go towards supporting this cultural event and the Story Guides running the tables.
