Effective communication is at the heart of safe, compassionate healthcare. This interactive half-day course, developed and delivered by a Specialist Trainer from the States of Jersey Police Force, provides healthcare professionals with practical skills and evidence-based approaches to confidently manage challenging interactions, reduce conflict, and de-escalate situations before they escalate.
Participants will explore a range of communication and behavioural models used across healthcare and emergency services, gaining a deeper understanding of how communication impacts behaviour, relationships and outcomes. Through engaging discussions, real-life case studies, and scenario-based exercises, learners will develop the confidence to respond appropriately in a variety of challenging situations.
