Most networking workshops teach people what to do. This one is different – participants actually build their strategy in the room.
Through a guided co-design process, each person leaves with a personalized, actionable networking plan tailored to their specific goals, industry, and personality. We could cover things like auditing your existing network and crafting a compelling elevator pitch, to preparing for events, writing outreach that gets replies, and building a simple system to maintain relationships over time. It’s practical, interactive, and immediately usable, giving them a clear plan and the confidence to execute it.
About the Presenter: Trina Boos
Trina is the Founder and CEO of Boost Academy of Excellence, where she helps professionals get the polish and presence needed to advance. She specializes in executive presence, communication, business etiquette, and the social skills that separate good professionals from truly memorable ones.Trina also hosts Boosted, a podcast revealing the unwritten rules of professional success – from workplace civility to navigating generational communication gaps.
Previously, Trina built and scaled Boost Agents into a seven-figure recruitment agency, placing thousands of marketing, creative, and digital professionals with leading technology companies, global financial institutions, and top-tier advertising agencies – achieving an industry-leading 98% candidate retention rate through a human-centered, purpose-driven approach. In 2001, she founded Ad Lounge, growing it from a Sheridan College networking group into a 5,000+ member professional community, and later pioneered programs like the Next Gen Dinner Series and DishCourse, connecting emerging leaders with C-suite executives while raising funds for youth charity Sketch.
Trina has served on advisory boards for Rogers Communications, TAAFI, Seneca College, and DX3 Canada, and has spoken at conferences including CIBC’s International Professionals Network, DesignX, FITC, CPA Ontario’s Leadership Exchange, the Canadian Immigrant Fair, and the Ajax Pickering Board of Trade. Her work has been featured in the Toronto Star, Financial Post, and Women of Influence.
