About this Event
Last November, more than 1,000 politicians and leaders sat down in Westminster to hear the UK’s top scientists and experts set out the facts on climate and nature. The People’s Emergency Briefing brings that day to the rest of us. In 50 minutes, it explores how the crisis is already reaching into ordinary life: the weather we live with, our health, the cost of living and the security of our food supply. It also looks at the hopeful, practical steps that are still within reach.
Every one of those threads leads back to food. The ingredients on our menus, the produce in our shops and the meals on our tables are all shaped by what happens next. That makes this a conversation for anyone who cooks, serves, grows or simply loves to eat in this city.
So pull up a chair, watch the film with us and stay to talk it through. Together we can understand what’s at stake and keep shifting the way Brighton and Hove thinks about eating well. Feel free to bring along someone new to the subject. They’ll be in good company.
