Sing it like “Arabian Nights!” However, the similarity ends there; there are considerably fewer flying carpets, considerably more careful searching through trees.
BirdLife Malta members are invited to experience Simar Nature Reserve after dark and join us in searching for one of Malta’s most fascinating and secretive reptiles: the Mediterranean Chameleon.
Guided by our team, participants will explore the reserve, learn about chameleon behaviour and camouflage, and practise their observation skills while looking for chameleons resting among the vegetation.
This family-friendly event offers a rare opportunity to experience the reserve at night and discover some of the wildlife that is easily missed during the day.
Bring a torch with a red-light setting, if you have one. A limited number will also be available during the activity.
