Brooklyn Klezmer Réunion: In My GardenConcert, Zingeray, and Dance Party
Come sing, dance, and party with the Brooklyn-based Strauss/Warschauer Duo and Réunion Island native Zilyin Biret in a rare Berlin appearance!
The trio will perform a concert and lead a sing-along and dance party with Yiddish music that celebrates nature and love in its many forms.
Deborah Strauss, USA (violin, vocals, dance) Cantor Jeff Warschauer, USA (guitar, cobza, vocals), and Zilyin Biret, RE (clarinet, percussion, vocals) draw from the listening and dance traditions in klezmer, Yiddish, Hasidic and liturgical music, adding their own original compositions and song settings to create music that is both grounded in tradition and thoroughly contemporary.
