About this Event
November is National Family Caregiver Month! Let's Celebrate!
During National Family Caregiver month, we are excited to recognize caregivers with the assistance of their family and friends through music, song, words of inspiration and the awarding of care scholarships. The honored Care Champions are recognized for their efforts in caring for their loved ones with special recognition given to 1) families demonstrating outstanding collaboration in caring for their loved one – The We Are Family Award and 2) a caregiver providing extraordinary support as a solo caregiver – The Just The Two of Us award. This year’s keynote speaker is caregiver advocate Josh Carter, grandson of former president Jimmy Carter.
Our celebration is followed by the dementia documentary My Mama Joe, Hope and Help, presented by the Mama Joe Project. A post-documentary panel discussion will include dementia experts, family caregivers, and the film producer.
Comlimentary respite care will be offered for your loved one.
Profits from this event support respite care scholarships and programming. We look forward to seeing you soon.
