About this Event
Workshop Facilitator - Helen Ruth Scarves
Join us for a fun and creative session of botanical printing!
Create your own printed t-shirt using pressed leaves and plants in this hands-on workshop with textile artist Helen Greensmith (Helen Ruth Scarves).
Inspired by the local landscape, you’ll explore mono-printing on fabric using locally gathered pressed leaves and plants, along with textile inks. Layer shapes and colours to build up a unique design, and leave with your own beautifully printed t-shirt.
Please bring along your own T-Shirt to print on. We recommend white or light colours.
We provide all printing materials, and no previous experience is necessary. All young people need to be accompanied by an adult.
This is a family-friendly workshop suitable for all ages, so bring along the whole family – parents, carers, grandparents and friends are all welcome.
Please be aware that we will be using textile inks. An apron will be provided, but we recommend wearing old clothing, as the inks will be permanent on clothing and fabric.
Together, we are committed to making creativity accessible to everyone by providing affordable, high-quality arts activities in the heart of Aberdeen city centre throughout the summer holidays. We aim to create welcoming, inclusive, and inspiring spaces where children, young people, adults, and families can explore their creativity, learn new skills, and spend quality time together.
By attending this workshop, you are supporting the local creative community and Charlie House's charitable work.
This workshop is part of the EDIT'S Tattie Holiday Art Club delivered by SMART Art Agency in partnership with Bon Accord and EDIT Aberdeen.
