About this Event
From November 23rd to 27th, A&DS will host ‘boom saloon calling’ – a series of five live, intimate conversations bringing architects and designers from Mexico City, London, Cape Town, Athens and Berlin together to explore one question: how has where you work shaped the change you make?
Taking place at A&DSpACE, a new pop-up venue at Edinburgh Futures Institute, the series brings people together to explore ideas, practices and the role of design in creating positive change.
Live, candid and unrepeated, the conversations will explore how place, local knowledge and lived experience shape the work of architects and designers. Each conversation will be followed by a live Q&A, creating space for genuine exchange between practitioners and audiences.
We'll supplement the week's activity with a Design Dial-In and in-person workshop, Reading Buildings in an Age of Climate, Conflict and Conservation – further details coming soon.
