About this Event
Who says you need to leave the city for a great birding adventure?
Join DC Bird Alliance for a guided bird walk at historic Langston Golf Course, where open green spaces, mature trees, and the nearby Anacostia River create opportunities to discover some of DC's feathered residents and seasonal visitors.
We'll keep our eyes and ears open for woodpeckers, sparrows, raptors, waterfowl, herons, and other birds that make use of this urban landscape. Depending on the season, we may also encounter migrating songbirds passing through the Anacostia River corridor.
Along the way, we'll practice bird identification, share observations, and explore how birds navigate the varied habitats of our city.
And yes, we'll be watching the skies for more than golf balls! 😂🐦
New to birding? You're absolutely welcome! Whether you're picking up binoculars for the first time or have been enjoying birds for years, there's a place for you on this walk.
