About this Event
Please join us in ABC Amsterdam for an evening celebrating the city of Amsterdam through the camera lens of local photographers as they present their book . The evening will feature beautiful and arresting photos as well as Q&As with several of the contributors.
About the book:
Trope Amsterdam, the 12th volume in the Trope City Edition series, celebrates the rich cultural and historical heritage of the capital city of the Netherlands.
The collection highlights the photographic images of 13 independent photographers from Amsterdam and beyond, featuring the city's architecture and urban landscapes in a new light. This carefully curated and bound collection of over 200 photographs offers a new perspective on Amsterdam. Each chapter is accompanied by a map, along with the locations where the photographs were taken.
From the Canal Ring and Dam Square to the Rijksmuseum and the Royal Palace to the magnificence of the Amstel River and the Magere Brug, these images command a strong point of view for a very urban sensibility. Showcasing both the historic elegance and timeless allure of contemporary Amsterdam, the images reveal distinctive and dramatic visions of one of the world’s greatest cities.
