About this Event
Launch Party for the second issue of An Clogán!
‘After Capitalism’ explores both how we struggle against capitalism today and what a future beyond it might look like in practice.
We will be hosting two panel discussions on the night:
The first panel, ‘Whose Nationalism? Irish cultural revival in the age of the far right’, will explore the renewed interest in Irish music, language and culture, with speakers including Róisín Barrett from The Mary Wallopers, Andrew Clarke from Tanistry and Róisín Nic Liam & Nuala Ní Scolláin from Glór na Móna
The second, ‘Do we have a future to look forward to?’, will consider whether we can still imagine a better future and how we might build one. Speakers include Lynn Boylan MEP and Paddy Bresnihan from Maynooth University.
Music from Cathy Flynn (DDR)
