About this Event

From Operational Friction to AI Opportunity

What could AI actually do inside your business—not someday, but right now?

For the final workshop in our AI Workshop Series, we’re moving beyond talking about what AI could do and putting it to work.

Join Matt Strippelhoff and Ron Dunlevy of Red Hawk Technologies for a hands-on, highly interactive session designed to help business leaders see what practical AI problem-solving really looks like.

Using a realistic mock company, business data and operational scenarios, Matt and Ron will work collaboratively with participants to explore challenges, evaluate information and demonstrate—in real time—how AI can be used to approach problems differently.

This isn’t a polished demonstration built around perfect data or a presentation filled with hypothetical use cases. It’s an opportunity to watch the process unfold: identifying a business problem, understanding the information available, determining where AI may—or may not—help, and seeing what it takes to move from an idea to a practical application.

Along the way, we’ll explore the types of operational challenges that exist across privately held businesses, including manual and repetitive work, inefficient processes, information that is difficult to access or use, workflow bottlenecks, reporting and analysis, knowledge transfer and other areas where AI may help reduce friction and improve how work gets done.

Then, we turn the lens on your business.

In the second half of the workshop, Matt will guide participants through the AI Opportunity Matrix, a practical, repeatable framework for evaluating potential AI opportunities inside their own organizations.

Participants will identify an operational challenge or opportunity from their business and begin working through questions such as:

  • What problem are we really trying to solve?
  • Is AI actually an appropriate solution?
  • What information or data would we need?
  • Where are the gaps that could prevent us from moving forward?
  • What should our next step be?

The goal isn't to leave with an “AI strategy” or a list of tools to buy. It is to leave better equipped to recognize a meaningful opportunity, evaluate whether it is worth pursuing and know how to begin.

Bring your team.

One of the most valuable takeaways from previous workshops in this series has been the benefit of attending with colleagues. AI implementation rarely belongs to one person or one department. Operations leaders understand the processes and pain points. Owners and senior leaders bring business priorities and decision-making authority. Others may understand the data, technology or people required to make change possible.

Bringing those perspectives into the room together creates a richer conversation—and gives your team a shared framework and language you can continue using long after the workshop ends.

If you’ve been hearing about AI but still find yourself asking, “What does this actually look like in our business?”—this workshop is designed to help answer that question.

Less theory. More application. Real-time problem-solving. And a practical process you can take back to your business and use again.

TESTIMONIAL

“Red Hawk Technologies’ AI Opportunity Decision Matrix was one of my biggest takeaways from the Goering Center’s Sales & Customer Service AI Workshop. I brought the Matrix back to our senior leadership team at Taylor Logistics, and we worked through it together to identify where AI could have a meaningful impact on our business. One of the opportunities we uncovered was labor, and that conversation ultimately led us to combine AI with technologies we were already using to create our own labor management system. It has been incredibly rewarding to see an exercise from a workshop turn into something we are actually using in our operations. The Matrix gave us a practical way to stop asking, ‘How can we use AI?’ and instead focus on the real business challenges where AI can make a difference.”
