About this Event
This parent-and-child class features two different crafts each week, with a break in-between to hear Tr. Erica read a story. These crafts are based on principles that will help your little one more easily understand S.T.E.A.M. principles as they grow older.
This art class includes two crafts a, a coloring sheet, and a story-time. We begin by coloring for 10 minutes while everyone arrives, and to allow little ones to warm up to the new children they'll meet. Next, we work on our first craft of the day and learn about the skills it teaches. Then kids will hear Teacher Erica read a story, while they either color or look at the book's illustrations. After story time we'll work on a second craft, and before leaving children get a stamp on their hand.
Please Note:A responsible adult (18+) must stay with the child through the duration of this class. These crafts might get messy, so please dress your child appropriately. When planned lessons include paint, short-sleeved smocks will be provided. Please keep in mind that there are no bathrooms at Fitler Square Park.
