Join us for “A Salute to our Warrior on the Hill: Honoring the Legacy of the Honorable Eleanor Holmes Norton,” the annual scholarship fundraiser hosted by the Eleanor Holmes Norton Legacy Fund (EHNL Fund).
The EHNL Fund recognizes the extraordinary role Congresswoman Eleanor Holmes Norton has played in American history and in the persistent, principled representation of the District of Columbia. As Congresswoman Norton prepares to retire from Congress at the end of 2026, we pause to celebrate a lifetime of leadership, courage, and advocacy. Her historic work in Congress and her legacy in the civil rights movement have shaped generations of leaders and inspired countless residents across the District.
Organized in 2018 by the DC Federation of Democratic Women, the Eleanor Holmes Norton Legacy Fund is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit dedicated to supporting the next generation of public servants. The Fund raises scholarship support for female students at the University of the District of Columbia David A. Clarke School of Law, helping advance leaders who demonstrate a commitment to public service, community engagement, and activism; the very values exemplified by Congresswoman Norton throughout her career.
This special evening will celebrate Congresswoman Norton’s remarkable contributions while supporting scholarships for future leaders who will continue the fight for justice, equality, and representation.
