About this Event
Your First Steps to Investing
You know investing could help grow your money, but how do you decide what to invest in? Or you own funds but don't understand how they were chosen? Or perhaps you are ready to begin and want to understand your options before taking the next step. This practical workshop will help you make sense of your investment options and help you choose with more confidence.
You'll learn how to:
- Understand some of the simplest investment options for beginners
- Create your own checklist for choosing an index fund or ETF
- Set sensible guardrails to manage risk
- Make investing part of your regular financial routine
- Work out how much you might invest towards your goals
What you will take away:
A clearer understanding of what you already own - or might choose to own- and a practical checklist for researching and comparing investments. You'll have a better foundation for making your own decisions and identifying your next steps.
Who is this for?
Women who are new to investing and those who have already started investing but want to understand more. Bring your questions, your doubts and your curiosity, and we will meet you with no-jargon explanations.
This is a hands-on session, so please bring your laptop.
This session is educational and designed to build your own knowledge and confidence. It isn't personal financial advice, and nothing covered should be taken as a recommendation to buy any specific investment.
