About this Event
Yin Yoga with Soundbath
Seeking a place of refuge from the busyness of daily living? Yin yoga weaves together South Asian yogic practices with the wisdom of Taoism and Chinese Medicine, offering a rich container grounded in the seasons and elements. Whether you want to stretch and hydrate the connective tissues of the body, work with your energy, soothe the mind, or drop into a place of wisdom and intuition, Yin offers something for every body.
Expect grounding guidance and pranayam (breath/life force practices), a 60 minute asana practice (generally 4-6 postures, held for several minutes each), and extended integration with soundbath.
Our weekly, 90-minute classes will be themed to the season and moment, reflecting and integrating what is happening in the wider world and in our lives.

About your guide
Hi there! I am Katey Peck (she/her) a yoga guide, facilitator, and writer committed to the messy and vital work of collective liberation. I share teachings and practices to support our bodies, lands, and communities to find healing and freedom. I hold my stewardship of yoga as soul activism and sacred duty – I choose this work as it chooses me.
I was first drawn to yoga out of curiosity. I stayed to heal my relationship with my body-mind. I envision that yoga continues to (re)build communities and repair relationships with land and non-human kin. With over 15 years of practice, 600 hours of formal training, and 2 years of full time teaching, my current sweet spot is leading quiet, contemplative classes in the yin and restorative styles.
