Then the bikes stop and the microphones come out.
Y2K Pop Ride Chicago is a small-group indoor cycling and social event inspired by the bright, playful pop energy of the early 2000s.
The evening begins with a beginner-friendly indoor cycling session under studio lighting and a curated throwback-pop soundtrack.
After the ride, guests change gears for a relaxed karaoke and zero-proof social.
No cycling experience is required.
No singing experience is required.
And no one is required to perform.
Part One - Neon Pop Ride
The first part of the event is a hosted indoor cycling class.
The instructor will guide resistance, cadence, seated riding and optional standing sections.
The ride is designed for mixed experience levels.
You control your own resistance and may remain seated whenever preferred.
Music will use a licensed studio playlist selected for the event.
The event is not affiliated with, sponsored by, or endorsed by any featured recording artist, record label, or entertainment brand.
Part Two - Y2K Karaoke Social
After the ride, guests move into the social portion.
The karaoke set focuses on familiar late-'90s and 2000s pop selections available through the confirmed karaoke provider.
Guests may:
- sing;
- join a group song;
- watch;
- or simply socialize.
Performing is always optional.
Zero-Proof Social
The social portion includes one confirmed non-alcoholic beverage for eligible ticket types.
Exact drink options should only be listed after the studio approves beverage service.
No alcohol benefit is advertised or included in this edition.
What to wear
Wear clothing suitable for indoor cycling.
Sneakers are fine where compatible with the studio bike setup; cycling shoes may also be available through the studio according to its confirmed rental procedure.
For the social portion, you may bring a light layer to change into after the ride.
Y2K-inspired styling is welcome but completely optional.
