About this Event
Happy as Lazzaro is an Italian magical realist film by Alice Rohrwacher. A powerful allegory of love, loss and compassion, the film explores the troubled soul of Italy through the story of a gentle-natured young labourer, Lazzaro, who lives and works contentedly on a rural farm. When Lazzaro strikes an unlikely friendship with the son of a marchioness, his world is changed forever.
