Recovery & Wellbeing College Workshop: Easy Crafts for Wellbeing

Tuesday 29 September 2026 | 2:00pm – 4:00pm

Earl’s Court Health & Wellbeing Hub

Join us for a creative and supportive workshop delivered in partnership with the Recovery & Wellbeing College.

About the Workshop
Easy Crafts for Wellbeing

Arts and crafts have been shown to help reduce anxiety, improve mood and increase happiness. Creativity can support our emotional wellbeing and may become a meaningful part of our recovery journeys.

In this relaxed and welcoming session, we’ll explore the history and evidence behind the benefits of creativity, share experiences of crafts we’ve tried, and think about some of the barriers that can make it difficult to be creative.

We’ll also have the opportunity to try some fun, easy creative techniques that can be used as ways to express ourselves, relax and soothe difficult feelings.

Together, we’ll explore:

  • How creativity and arts and crafts can support our wellbeing
  • What the evidence tells us about the benefits of creative activities
  • The role creativity can play in our recovery journeys
  • Different crafts and creative activities we’ve tried or might like to explore
  • Some of the barriers that can make being creative feel difficult
  • Simple and accessible creative techniques we can try ourselves
  • How creative activities can help us express and soothe our emotions
  • How we can make creativity part of our everyday wellbeing

No previous creative experience or artistic ability is needed. The session is about having a go, exploring what feels enjoyable and finding simple creative activities that can support our wellbeing.

About CNWL Recovery & Wellbeing College

CNWL Recovery & Wellbeing College is a wellbeing service offering opportunities for people to come together to learn ways to live healthier, happier and more fulfilling lives, as defined by them.

Our sessions combine knowledge from people with lived experience and those with clinical experience, with everyone coming together as equals. We are not a formal college — we do not assess participants or provide qualifications, and we do not provide therapy. Instead, our workshops offer a safe, empowering and non-stigmatising space to explore, share and learn together.

We support people on their journey of self-discovery, helping everyone to recognise and develop their strengths, talents and resources so they can become experts in their own self-care and move towards the things they want to achieve in life.
