About this Event
This practical two-hour workshop explores how early-stage founders can use AI to save time, work more effectively and tackle the everyday tasks that often get pushed down the to-do list.
You’ll explore where AI can make a real difference to your working day, from researching your market and understanding prospects to drafting communications, summarising information and planning your week. You’ll learn how to write better prompts, ask AI the right questions and get more useful results from the tools you already have access to. Through live demonstrations, you’ll also discover how AI tools can take on more involved, multi-step tasks, and where human judgement remains essential.
The session is hands-on and practical, with demonstrations and guided exercises throughout. You’ll work on a real task from your own business, experiment with different approaches and share ideas with other founders. You’ll also explore the basics of data privacy, confidentiality and choosing the right AI tools for your needs.
By the end of the session, you will have practical tools to help you:
- identify where AI can save you time, and where simpler approaches work better;
- write more effective prompts and get useful results from AI chat assistants;
- use AI for research, personalised outreach, everyday communications and planning;
- explore AI tools that can help with more complex, multi-step tasks;
- understand key considerations around data privacy, confidentiality and AI licences;
- identify one practical way to use AI in your business and take it forward after the workshop.
The workshop is designed for solo founders and small startup teams at the pre-revenue or early-revenue stage. It is suitable for people with mixed levels of AI experience and is not tied to any particular provider. You can use whichever AI assistant you already have access to, including ChatGPT, Microsoft Copilot, Google Gemini or Claude.
Please bring a laptop and make sure you can log in to at least one AI chat assistant before the session. You’ll also be asked to think of one task you regularly put off or would like to spend less time on, ready to explore during the workshop.
