About this Event
Join hundreds of workers and trade unionists getting organised to build the unity we need in our workplaces and communities to counter racist division and hate pushed by a far right moment growing in confidence.
This conference will be a space to come together as workers and discuss:
- Understanding the far right threat and organising to counter dangerous racist narratives
- Sharing experiences from across workplaces, unions, sectors and localities
- Exploring initiatives where Workers Against The Far Right groups have been launched
- Learning from training and education examples from unions and campaigns
- Discussing how workplaces and union branches can link up with local Stand Up To Racism networks for effective community organising
The Workers Against The Far Right initiative evolved from Stand Up To Racism's TUC backed annual conference that brings together hundreds of workers.
Through the last year, workplace groups have been forming.
There has been a series of big fringe meetings at union conferences where sector based initiatives are beginning to be launched at a national level, such as Educators Against the Far Right and Health Workers Against The Far Right, with others emerging from Council Workers Against The Far Right, Firefighters Against the Far Right, and University and College Workers Against The Far Right. These networks can be built in every sector, with more and more workplace groups being set up...
Book your place and invite workmates and union colleagues to the conference on 27 February 2027
