About this Event
You're invited to join us on Monday, October 5th at Nielsen Headquarters in New York City for a conversation you won't want to miss. Sandra Sims-Williams joins Ronnie Dickerson Stewart in conversation to celebrate and unpack her debut book Work Life Remix: Keep What Works, Change What Doesn't, and Design a Life That Fits
This will be a first-of-its-kind conversation between mentor and mentee. Part book talk, part behind-the-scenes real talk, Ronnie and Sandra will unpack their formative and defining experiences, hard-won lessons & lumps, and share how we can each navigate this precarious era of work and life with more resources, optionality, and long-term provision. They'll pull back the curtain and share gems, provocations, tools, and even stories they've never shared publicly before, in the interest of everyone navigating their own Work Life Remix moments and seasons.
Come for the conversation and leave with new possibilities for navigating this new era of work and life.

About Sandra Sims-Williams:
Sandra Sims-Williams is the Chief Business Inclusion, Impact & Belonging Officer of Nielsen, a global audience measurement and data analytics company. In this role, Sandra leads Nielsen's business inclusion, impact and belonging strategy to create a more inclusive and equitable media industry, empowering clients, communities, and employees.
Sandra is a transformational leader with over 30 years of experience. Since joining Nielsen in 2020, she has led the company's work across inclusive culture and business practices, global talent development, and corporate responsibility. In 2024, she evolved the combined DE&I and Corporate Citizenship team to Business Inclusion, Impact & Belonging to reflect the team's tangible and positive impact on both internal and external stakeholders and, ultimately, the success of Nielsen's people and business. Making the case for "all at the table" brings more opportunity for change and outcomes that improve the bottom line.
Prior to Nielsen, Sandra made history as the first Chief Diversity Officer for Publicis Groupe, a communications holding company with global affiliates, after 14 years across Publicis agencies. Her diversity and inclusion career began at Digitas.
Sandra is a straight-talk leader and change agent who counsels leaders to develop an inclusive mindset in business, communication, and people engagement. She's known for creating space for diverse groups, space that gives room for their voices and builds stronger leaders and managers with the mindset and behaviors that drive inclusion at work. She believes in the power of high-touch experiences that change people through stories, situations, and developmental workshops.
To help shape the marketing and media industries, Sandra sits on the boards of the New York Advertising Club, BRIDGE, and ColorComm, working alongside CEOs, CMOs, and CDOs to develop future leaders and build diverse industry connections.
Sandra has spent over 13 years mentoring women through two groups she created: one of her peers who support each other, and Sandra's Sister Circle (SSC), a younger group mentored by the first. Both meet monthly, and SSC women have advanced their careers through the group's support and mentorship. Sandra's purpose is to leave a place, a person, or a situation better than she found it.
