Interested in a career in emergency services? This event provides you the opportunity to practice physical testing requirements for local emergency agencies, better preparing you for your future application. During the physical testing session, you can connect with local first responders to learn more about what a career in local emergency services is like and strategies for preparing and improving your application.

There are three time slots during the day for you to choose an agency practice session to participate in, including an informational session from local Fire Departments on the different recruitment requirements based on each municipality. Morning sessions are only available to those aged 18 and over, with afternoon sessions available to those 13+. You can only sign up for one agency testing session per time slot (ex. you can not register for both 9-11am session with Fire and 9-11am with OPP)

Physical testing sessions are available for:

• Local Fire departments
• Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) (seperate registration for OPP sessions: 9-11am https://sl1nk.com/exmdgdq, 11-1pm https://l1nq.com/u1pk80b)
• Essex-Windsor Emergency Medical Services (EMS)
• Canadian Border Services Agency (CBSA)
• Correctional Services
• Canadian Armed Forces
• Parks Canada Fire Management Team

For those participating in a physical testing session, please dress in clothing appropriate for excercising outside, including running shoes. Bring water, snacks, and any medecine you may require (ex. EPIpen, inhaler). No food will be available to participants during the event.

Spectators are welcome to attend with a participant and are not required to register. All participants must check-in at registration at least 30 minutes before your physical testing session.

Please note: You can only sign up for one agency testing session per time slot. You may sign up for more than one time slot if you would like to participate in more than one agencies' practice session. We do not encourage registering for multiple time slots with the same agency in order to allow as many women to participate. If you are interested in participating in more than one time slot by the same agency, please contact us to confirm availability.

CANCELLATION POLICY: If you cannot attend, please cancel your reservation on Eventbrite so someone else may take your place.

PHOTO IDENTIFICATION REQUIRED: For those 18+ it will be checked at the door. Name on the ID must match the name on the ticket.
