🌟Women the Future PAC Annual Candidate Recruitment Event🌟Have you ever thought about running for office? Or wondered how you could help another woman take that step?
Join Women the Future (WTF) PAC on Tuesday, November 17, at 5:00 PM at Knowledge Park in Erie for our Annual Candidate Recruitment Event!
We’re bringing together three incredible women with different experiences in public service and political campaigns to share their knowledge, encourage future leaders, and help more women see themselves in elected office.
🎤 Meet Our Speakers
✨ Lori Pickens
Former President of the Erie School Board and the first African American woman to serve as president of the Erie City School Board. Lori’s leadership represents an important milestone in our community’s history and a reminder of why representation matters in public service.
✨ Dr. Kylie Morris
Current Millcreek Township Supervisor and a physician with a background in medicine and public health. Dr. Morris brings a community-focused perspective to local government, with interests that include stormwater and flooding concerns, parks and recreation, sustainability, and making local government work effectively for residents. She offers a firsthand look at how professional experience and a desire to serve can lead to elected leadership.
✨ Chelcie Alcorn
Political campaign expert with experience across all facets of campaigns, including local, state, and federal races. Chelcie has worked in campaign field operations, organizing, outreach, volunteer coordination, and campaign management. Her experience offers valuable insight into what it takes to run a campaign and how supporters can help candidates succeed.
💜
Women deserve a seat at the table where decisions are made. From school boards and township supervisors to county, state, and federal offices, elected leaders make decisions that affect our schools, families, neighborhoods, public services, and future.
Yet deciding to run for office can feel overwhelming. Where do you start? How do you build a campaign team? What does it take to get your name on the ballot? And how can you help someone else who is ready to lead?
That’s where Women the Future comes in.
Women the Future PAC works to encourage and support women who want to serve in elected office. Through recruitment, mentorship, connections, campaign support, and community involvement, we help women explore opportunities to lead and help build a stronger pipeline of women candidates.
You don’t have to be a politician to make a difference. You can run for office, volunteer on a campaign, mentor an aspiring candidate, share your skills, make connections, or help another woman find the confidence to take that first step.
