NEW for 2026: We’re gathering at Busboys and Poets (450 K Street NW)—just steps from the Washington Convention Center and Capitol Hill.

Celebrate with distinguished City of Detroit Mayor, Honorable Mary D. Sheffield, elected officials across Michigan and the nation, executives, entrepreneurs, nonprofit leaders, and changemakers as we honor extraordinary women whose leadership continues to strengthen our communities.

This year, we are especially honored to celebrate the legendary former Congresswoman Carolyn Cheeks Kilpatrick by establishing an award in her name—and presenting her with the inaugural Carolyn Cheeks Kilpatrick Award.

This milestone event also marks the official launch of Women Leaders of Michigan as a nonprofit organization, expanding our statewide work in leadership development, civic engagement, workforce readiness, housing and mobility, health and wellness, and community-informed research.
