A casual cafe evening with the people behind the heartwarming animal rescue film. Co-presented by DC Environmental Film Festival.About this Event
6:30-7pm – Pre-Show: Meet DC Rescuers & Appreciation Table
- Arrive as close to 6:30pm as you can to guarantee entry.
- Get to know some people and orgs helping animals and the environment in DC.
- Decorate a personalized card thanking an animal hero in your own life.
- Food and drinks available for purchase. (Please avoid ordering during the film.)
7:00-7:30pm – Screening of "Cow Trip"
- A short documentary following a father and daughter's unlikely road trip to save a calf.
- Presented with on-screen subtitles.
7:30-8:15pm – Filmmaker Conversation
- A panel discussion with Joanna Zelman (director), Dr. Jared Zelman (dad who drove the calves), Michele Waldman (Rosie's Farm Sanctuary co-founder), and Jenny Splitter (Editor-In-Chief, Sentient Media).
- Additional food purchases welcome until 8pm.
8:15pm-8:40pm – Final Mingling
- The event ends and we will clear the room at 8:40pm.
Ticketing Information:
- Guests with a Reservation: Admission is first come, first served from 6:30pm. Registration puts you ahead of our waitlist but does not guarantee entry, and after 6:45pm any remaining space will open to our waitlist.
- Waitlist Guests: We will begin admitting our waitlist guests at 6:45pm if we have space at that time. When you arrive, please
- check in at the door. Waitlist guests are admitted in the order they check in.
- Walk-Ins: If there is room, we will welcome walk-ins after our waitlist.
- Once you're in the room there is a seat for you, so feel free to mingle and explore.
- If your plans change, please cancel your ticket so others can attend.
