About this Event
The wine world loves to celebrate its “great men,” but women have always been here too—making wine, practicing viticulture, on tractors with pitchforks, running around in cellars, breaking rules, and generally carrying the industry on their backs while somehow still being called “up-and-coming.”
On Sept 22nd, we’re putting the spotlight where it belongs: an all-female/queer winemaker lineup featuring 5 bottles made by super cool women who are shaping the future of the industry.
This is VOLUME 2 of the Women in Wine tasting, you guys showed so much love and sold us out veryyyy quickly so if you missed out on that one, we're here to do another one and showcase some super cool femme producers, with a slightly different lineup to last month's tasting.
Super Nouveau was created because wine can sometimes feel like an old boys’ club with an intimidating vocabulary problem. We wanted to build a space where women, queer folks, and anyone who’s ever felt like they had to “prove” they belonged could come learn and ask “stupid” questions (there aren’t any). We are putting some of our fave girl boss producers on a pedestal this eve including:
