Gather with Long Beach neighbors for a morning of writing prompts, optional guided conversation, and locally crafted fresh juice by Salud.About this Event
Join us for the first-ever gathering of With Neighbors, a community series that brings Long Beach neighbors together through curated creative experiences — co-produced by local organizers Daisy Made and ponyponytail.
We are delighted to partner with Actually Curious and Salud Juice for our inaugural event, Letters to Nowhere:
Pull a card.
Write a letter you won’t send: yearn, forgive, cut ties, confess.
Read others’ letters.
Leave feeling lighter.
We’re here for whatever wants to pour out: memories or fantasies, reflections or realizations, and everything in between. No fussy formal writing skills required.
Surrounded by the greenery at Plantiitas, you’ll pick a prompt from the Actually Curious card deck, take a moment to orient your thoughts, and then start writing your letter.
Examples:
- Forgive the friend who wronged you.
- Profess your love (or lust?) to that cute barista.
- Blast your ex with a story that would break them.
- Gossip with a coworker you lost touch with.
- Thank your professor who passed away.
Sip delicious organic Salud juice as you write this letter to nowhere, alongside your Long Beach neighbors.
After our dedicated writing time, you’ll be invited to anonymously read others’ letters. This part is totally optional—you can always choose to keep your letter completely private to you.
We’ll close with a collective moment of guided intention setting.
Your letter can go home with you, or you can leave it with us for a release ritual, a.k.a. Tracy’s paper shredder 😈
Huge thanks to Plantiitas for opening doors early just for us for this special event!
