About this Event
Founded in 1995, the Prisk Garden is a schoolyard habitat featuring California native plants and animals. As an elementary school garden, it's designed to immerse youngsters in nature for therapeutic and educational benefits not found in most indoor classrooms. This all-ages tour will be led by the Prisk Garden founder Mike Letteriello. Only 20 spots available, so save your spot soon!
After a brief meet & greet and plant & seed share, Mike Letteriello will lead a walking tour through the different areas of the garden and provide a history.
Please wear comfortable shoes and sunscreen. Bring any native plants or seeds that you would like to share with the group (not required to participate).
Note on location: The garden, where we will meet at 1 p.m., is located behind the school at East Los Arcos Street and Albury Avenue.
