About this Event
A Day of Leadership, Heritage, Food, Music and the Future of Windrush Britain
The National Windrush Museum presents a landmark day of national conversation, cultural celebration and international collaboration as part of its Autumn Season 2026 programme and the developing Windrush 80 Connected initiative.
Bringing together national leaders, policymakers, cultural institutions, community organisations, academics, businesses and the next generation, this full-day programme will explore the continuing significance of Windrush, the contribution of Caribbean communities to Britain and the opportunities to create a lasting national legacy towards the 80th anniversary in 2028.
The programme combines the NWM Windrush Summit, a special Windrush Food Culture exhibition tour and late lunch at NWM partner restaurant Ayanna, an evening symposium launching the Digital Atlas of Jamaican Music in London, and a VIP after-party celebrating jazz, reggae and dub.
