Burlington-based artist Will Patlove presents "Perspectivity", an exhibition of minimalist paintings and shaped canvases exploring the relationship between light, form, space, and perception. Through geometric compositions and subtle shifts in dimension, Patlove invites viewers to look beyond the surface and experience how a work of art can change with light and point of view.
Working primarily with acrylic paint on shaped canvases and wood panels, Patlove creates minimalist, geometric compositions that challenge our expectations of what a painting can be. By manipulating form, surface, and shadow, his work blurs the line between painting and sculpture, creating pieces that seem to transform depending on the surrounding light and the viewer’s position.
Patlove's work invites his viewers to slow down, let go of the urge to interpret, and engage with the experience of looking. Each piece offers an opportunity to notice the subtle interplay between what we see and what we perceive, revealing how something seemingly simple can become an entirely different experience from another point of view.
Experience "Perspectivity" at Foam Brewers and discover what happens when you look a little closer.
