What the Soul Remembers
Dreams, Diaspora, and the Sacred
About this Event
What the Soul Remembers: Dreams, Diaspora, and the Sacred is a solo exhibition by Philadelphia-based artist Hanan Seid, exploring the intersections of faith, cultural identity, memory, and the unseen worlds that shape our understanding of ourselves.
Through expressive painting and sculptural mixed media, Seid invites viewers into a visual world shaped by dreams, spiritual reflection, Eritrean and Ethiopian heritage, and the experience of finding meaning in the everyday. Each piece offers a glimpse into the moments, traditions, and inner landscapes that words cannot always capture.
From dream-inspired visions of sacred places to reflections on ancestral traditions and the meaning of home, this collection explores what we carry with us, what we inherit, and what remains within us long after a moment has passed.
Join us for the opening reception on Saturday, December 5, for an evening of art, reflection, and connection. Guests will have the opportunity to experience the collection, meet the artist, and hear more about the stories and inspirations behind the work.
Whether you are drawn to art, spirituality, cultural storytelling, or simply the beauty of seeing the world through another person's perspective, you are invited to experience this collection.
