About this Event
First Rule is a comedy community open to comedy writers, improvisors and actors* in Manchester and the North West. We put on a host of events, including Competitions, Jams, Scratch Nights, Showcases, and a variety of expert-run Courses and Workshops, suitable for all abilities.
Our goal is to provide a space for comedians to collaborate, learn new skills, and produce fresh works. To kick us off we are hosting our first (of many) Comedy Monologue Competition.
*Please note, while we welcome stand-up comedians joining us to write or perform, we will not be hosting stand-up specific sessions. Our sessions will be focused on writing for screen, stage and with limited workshops in short-form fiction and radio. 18's and over only.
