Thank you for your interest in our Mana Wāhine Symposium kaupapa - Weaving your Wellbeing, hosted by Libby Blore of Big Tings. We’ve created a number of Mana Wāhine Symposium kaupapa especially for young people/rangatahi, and this is one we know you’ll enjoy - check out the full schedule, we’d love to see you at them all!
This workshop begins with whakawhanaungatanga, getting to know each other and where everyone comes from. Rangatahi and whānau then weave their own wellbeing mat, using Te Whare Tapa Whā as the guide. Each colour represents a different part of wellbeing, and every strip is a tool that supports looking after ourselves. Through kōrero and connection, participants learn from one another and fill in the gaps together. Everyone leaves with a woven mat that is uniquely theirs.
