Join me at Top Hat Supply for Journeys for an evening that is about tapping into creative intuition through weaving. We will start with a guided meditation to help quiet the mind and then explore and play with the same wool used to make the tapestries on the walls in the studio.
We will learn not from starting with a pattern or learning "a way" but rather letting our intuition free up a bit and play with material, warp and weft. We will learn to listen to what wants to be made.
Darcie Shively is a tapestry weaver based in Boulder who is known for breaking out of pattern to create tapestries that have their own life. She alongside Michelle Polizzi, a local ceramacist, created Top Hat Supply for Journeys to reconnect people with the creative spirit within. It is a sanctuary on East Pearl where people can come to enjoy their creativity.
