About this Event
We Make Music Scotland Instrument Libraries is an initiative to get musical instruments into public libraries across Scotland. It means you can borrow an instrument for free (just like you would a book) allowing budding musicians of all ages to try something new. Instruments can now be borrowed at The Mitchell and Ibrox Library.
Book a session if you're looking for a bit of extra support with your newly borrowed instrument. In addition to being shown how to hold the instrument comfortably, we'll show you how to tune it and make some noise! We'll also signpost you to music groups throughout the city who can help support you on your musical journey.
In addition to supporting people with an interest in music, the project is also about recycling. We want to ensure pre-loved instruments can have new life breathed (or strummed) into them. If you have an instrument you’d like to donate, please let us know. They can be dropped off at the Mitchell Library and Ibrox Library.
