About this Event
On 13 November 2026, the CIPD branch will host a networking and learning event at Social Security Scotland's High Street Conference Room, Glasgow, bringing together HR professionals to explore how organisations can maintain their culture, values and people practices during periods of organisational change. Attendees will hear practical insights from Suzanne O'Neill, Head of Organisational Design and Development, and have the opportunity to connect with peers from a range of sectors while sharing experiences and good practice.
The session will begin with introductions and a brief overview of the day's objectives, followed by a keynote presentation from Suzanne, who will share Social Security Scotland's experiences of organisational growth and change. A Q&A session will provide attendees with the opportunity to discuss challenges and lessons learned in maintaining consistency, wellbeing and inclusion while adapting to evolving organisational needs.
The second half of the event will focus on interactive table discussions exploring how organisations can ensure HR policies remain fair, values-led and consistently applied during change. Participants will discuss topics such as flexible and hybrid working, manager capability, employee engagement and wellbeing, before sharing key challenges, solutions and learning points with the wider group. The event will conclude with reflections, networking opportunities and practical actions that attendees can take back to their own organisations.
