About this Event
Taranaki is a fantastic place to live and work. This free session is about building on that strength by bringing modern delivery learning, practical insight, and future training opportunities closer to home.
We have strong organisations, talented teams, and a growing appetite for better ways of working — now is the right time to create more local opportunities to build capability.
For many teams, accessing high-quality delivery training still means travelling out of region, paying big-city prices, or relying on online sessions that don’t always give people the support or follow-up they need. We believe Taranaki can offer something better: practical, accessible learning shaped around the needs of local organisations.
This session is the first step toward making that happen.
What’s on
TussockLine's own Michael Lloyd presents a practical and engaging look at what modern delivery looks like in real organisations, including the habits, patterns, and decisions that can either slow progress down or help teams deliver value sooner:
- How large releases can be broken into smaller, more valuable delivery steps
- How simple requests can move faster when decision pathways are clearer
- How to reduce the risk of large, long-running investments by learning earlier
- Why early feedback lowers the cost of change and creates better delivery choices
- A real case study of a network monitoring platform built over nine months, showing what became possible when the work was broken down effectively
Then we want to hear from you
We want this to be useful for the region, so your input matters. What training would help your team most — Scrum, SAFe, framework-agnostic delivery practices, bespoke workshops, consulting, or something else entirely? Your feedback will help shape what we bring to Taranaki next year.
The practical bits
The session is free, and a light lunch will be provided. Please let us know any dietary requirements when you register. Tickets close Tuesday 29 September so we can confirm catering numbers.
This is an opportunity to explore where delivery practice is heading, connect with others who are thinking about the same challenges, and help shape the learning options available locally. If you’d like to talk about training or consulting afterwards, there will be time to continue the conversation once the session wraps up.
