About this Event

Join us for this exclusive class at the Filson Flagship store with Sarah Simon, TheMintGardener. This is your invitation to learn to watercolor paint in Sarah's Watercolor Workbook!

Come mingle and paint in the most iconic PNW atmosphere: the Filson Flagship store. Sip and snack on beverages and delicious small bites while learning the foundations of this beautiful watercolor art - and go home with art, and all of the supplies you need to keep creating!

The Painting

After this class with Sarah, you’ll walk away confident and skilled, able to understand and recreate the watercolor process step by step.Together, you’ll explore the techniques Sarah uses in her own watercolor practice and see how she teaches the foundations of this art as both a creative and mindful skill. Once you’ve built the foundations, you’ll move on to painting a pre-drawn art piece (that’s correct - no drawing required!). With TheMintGardener’s clear, step-by-step guidance, you’ll learn how to watercolor, and then put that knowledge to use as you shape your art piece and solidify your new skill set.

It’s the perfect introduction to watercoloring for people new to this art, as well as an inspiring piece to paint for the more seasoned artist as well.

With this class registration, you will receive all of the materials you need to continue to paint at home: professional watercolor paints and a brush with a curated palette specifically for our lovely event, as well as your own copy of Sarah's internationally best selling 'Watercolor Workbook' - with 25 projects to paint inside! Sarah cannot wait for you to join her; to fall in love with the flowing freedom of watercolor, and the beauty of watching paint and water dance along your pages.

If you have one of Sarah’s books, please feel free to bring it with you and she can sign it. She will also have a collection of all of her books available for purchase and signing after class as well.

Flow of Events:

7-7:30pm: Have your books signed, finish up your project, pack up all of your delightful supplies to take home, mingle with your fellow artists and exclaim over everyone's incredible work...and end your fantastic evening with perhaps a bit of shopping to close the night off just right!
