If you've heard of kefir, you probably know it as a tangy dairy drink — but water kefir is its grain-based cousin, and it works its magic on sugar water instead of milk. The result is a light, naturally fizzy, probiotic-rich drink that's just as alive and beneficial — and where things get really creative.
Water kefir ferments in two stages, and each one is an opportunity to build flavor. From the ingredients you choose for your base, to the fruits you add in the second ferment, there's a lot of room to experiment and make it your own — and once you understand how the process works, you'll start to see the creative possibilities everywhere.
In this workshop, we'll walk through grain care, both stages of fermentation, and how to approach flavoring with curiosity and confidence. You'll taste several finished combinations and leave with your own live grains to start fermenting at home.
