Hey there! We're looking for awesome volunteers to help out as marshals at the National Domestic Violence Rally Walk-a-Thon. This is an in-person event where your support will make a big difference. VOLUNTEERS NEEDED — WALK WITH PURPOSE 💜
The National Domestic Violence Rally (NDVR) and FFT Helping Others are seeking Volunteer Marshals for the 2026 National Domestic Violence Rally Walk-a-Thon in Washington, D.C.
📅 Friday, October 2, 2026
⏰ Volunteer Arrival: 8:00 AM
🚶 Walk Begins: 9:00 AM
📍 Washington, D.C. – U.S. Capitol Area
💜 From Pain to Purpose — You Are Not Walking Alone
Volunteer Marshals will help guide participants along the designated walking route, provide basic directions, assist with participant flow, communicate with event leadership, and help create a safe, organized, welcoming and survivor-centered environment.
No previous experience is required. Instructions and assignments will be provided.
Students & Community-Service Volunteers Welcome
Students, college organizations, corporate volunteer teams, civic groups, faith communities and individual volunteers are encouraged to participate.
Documented community-service hours are available upon request.
A Pre-Walk Orientation will be held Sunday, September 27, 2026, in Washington, D.C. Volunteers are strongly encouraged to attend so they can walk the route, learn their assigned areas, meet event leadership and review responsibilities before event day.
This can be a one-time volunteer opportunity, or volunteers may learn about future opportunities with FFT Helping Others and NDVR.
