About this Event
Transitioning from military to civilian life brings many important decisions, and health insurance is one of them. Join Veteran Business Unlimited and Holloway Health & Life Benefits, LLC for an educational class designed to help service members, veterans, spouses, and families understand their health insurance options during and after military transition.
We’ll walk through how your military status, timing, family circumstances, employer benefits, and eligibility can affect your coverage options. Topics include TRICARE transition considerations, TAMP and other military-related continuation options, employer and spouse coverage, Marketplace/ACA coverage, private individual coverage, Medicaid/CHIP, and Medicare considerations.
You’ll also learn how to compare the five key numbers when evaluating coverage: premium, deductible, copays/coinsurance, out-of-pocket maximum, and estimated total annual household cost. We’ll discuss provider networks, prescriptions, family coverage, and common military-to-civilian transition scenarios.
This class is educational only. It is designed to help you understand the questions to ask, organize your coverage timeline, and identify what information you need before making decisions. It does not determine eligibility or recommend a specific insurance plan. Participants should confirm current eligibility, deadlines, and requirements with the appropriate official agency.
