Please note this workshop is for Aberdeen City Council education staff only.
In Aberdeen City schools, over 25% of all learners in the BGE stage are recorded as having English as an Additional Language. This is significantly above the national average. You will now, or in the future, be supporting learners with EAL.
These professional learning inputs are aimed at staff directly supporting EAL learners and are suitable for both the Primary and Secondary sector. They will provide you with practical tools and tips to help improve outcomes for all learners in your class.
Please note, there are two sessions to sign up for, please bring your ACC devices with you as these will be practical:
1 ) Microsoft tools (Immersive Reader, Reading Coach and Reading Progress) & Lumio.
2) Read/Write Toolbar & Google tools.
