For our third Urban Sketchers outing, we’re heading to Bartels Pumpkin Patch in north Fort Collins for a morning of pumpkins, old farm buildings, colorful gourds, cornfields, hayrides, and plenty of great fall sketching subjects!Bartels is a longtime family farm with rows of pumpkins and gourds, a corn maze, U-pick gardens, farm stands, concessions, and lots of wonderfully imperfect fall details to fill a sketchbook. There should be plenty to draw whether you want to tackle a larger farm scene, focus on pumpkins and produce, or create a page of small autumn vignettes.

⏰ Sketching time: 10:00am meet at the front and we will meet back up at 12:00pm to see what everyone created!
What to bring: Your sketchbook and favorite supplies, a portable stool or chair if you like, water, sun protection, and layers for Colorado fall weather. Bring a friend—all drawing abilities are welcome!
There is no admission or parking fee at Bartels. The farm is open from 10:00 AM–6:00 PM, and optional activities such as the corn maze and hayrides have a small additional charge. Dogs are welcome on leash, although they aren’t allowed on the hayride.
We’ll sketch independently, then meet back together at the end for our traditional sketchbook throw-down so everyone can see what the group created.
