About this Event
Join Read & Run Chicago at the CTA Red Line Lawrence station in Uptown on Saturday, November 14 at 10:30 AM for an audiobook walk/run to support our Year-End Fundraiser!

About your hosts:
Read & Run Chicago is the award-winning community arm of Read & Run Tours. Founded in 2021, the mission is simple: to use movement and stories to explore Chicago. Programming includes signature events–the original Read & Run Tours format, book-themed guided runs where stories take place–plus a marathon team, Little Free Libraries, and other community programming that gets Chicagoans moving and supporting local libraries, bookstores, and small businesses. Along the way, Read & Run Chicago champions literacy initiatives and other nonprofits. Our ultimate goal is to help Chicagoans better connect with themselves, each other, and the physical spaces they call home. We’ve hosted over 140 events featuring 40+ authors and local experts alongside countless community gatherings and initiatives and have been highlighted by CNN, Runner’s World, Midwest Living, NBC’s Chicago Today, FOX32 Good Day Chicago, WGN Radio, Block Club Chicago, and more. has been a self proclaimed #booknerd since childhood, and loves classics, memoirs, contemporary literature, and historical fiction. She is a proud member of a book club that has been going strong for 15+ years! When Sarita isn't thinking about books, she writes on Substack, discusses pop culture, visits the Art Institute, and attends jazz and symphony concerts.
loves planning things, whether it be her next meal to cook, neighborhood to visit, or vacation abroad. Although not originally from Chicago, Cynthia proudly declares it the best city in the US and spends her free time taking advantage of Chicago's multiple hidden gem programs (feel free to ask!), as well as convincing everyone to move here.
